I always knew I wanted to be an artist. During high school, I took classes at Otis and Chouinard Art Institutes in Los Angeles. As an art major at the University of Arizona and Mexico City College, I studied painting, sculpture and printmaking. I moved to New York City, painted and studied at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts and the New School for Social Research. I graduated from Columbia University in 1963 with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting. I moved with my family to the Central Coast of California in 1977 and continued my art career. I have worked in printmaking, papermaking, fiber arts and sculpture but have always returned to drawing and painting. I have had several important solo shows, exhibited in numerous galleries and my artwork is represented in private collections across the country.
